What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is here with some of the most typical A/C problems in Ocala.

  • No Cool Air

If you can hear your air conditioning system running but there isn’t cool air coming out, you might need to have your refrigerant levels analyzed. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air being produced by your system is actually cool. Call Service Experts and we’ll come out and examine your refrigerant levels and look into why your air conditioner is not producing cool air.

  • Fan Won’t Rotate

One reason your condenser fan may not be rotating could be that it simply burned out and you need to replace the fan. Humidity tends to cause more condensation so another matter to watch for is that the water is not draining right or that the drain is restricted. If you can verify these matters, you may be able to pinpoint the problem; if not, give Service Experts a call and we can investigate what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and review your options to get your system up and running again.

  • Not Cooling Properly

First, try lowering the temperature on your thermostat. It seems simple but sometimes we forget the obvious. If that doesn’t get your A/C cooling, inspect the air filter. If the air filter is blocked, it could cause major cooling issues. Another issue that could cause your lack of cooling is that your air conditioner is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a common issue when homes are constructed. Service Experts will come out and perform an analysis to determine if the size of your system is causing your issues.

  • System is Short Cycling

If your AC is short cycling, or turning on or off constantly, it could mean one of many things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and needs cleaning. Once the equipment is cleaned and all obstructions removed, you may be back in business. Keep in mind that humidity also plays a role so if your home cools to the correct temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to heat up quickly, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because the equipment is having to work harder to keep your home at a lower temperature.

No matter your problem, whatever air conditioning trouble you run into, Service Experts is here for you 24/7/365 so we can get you comfortable quickly.
